I love how all the glitches caused by going past the kill screen, crazy colors & and 800 line clear levels, created an unintended NG+ difficulty. somehow, even with rapid advancements NES tetris was able to create a scalability difficulty.

There’s a special feeling I get about this video… it’s hard to explain, but the word “historic” could best describe it. This isn’t a little level in a niche game, but rather one of the most popular games of all time, which combined with the wonderful writing and storytelling makes this video powered with higher stakes. I’m rambling a bit, but SummoningSalt, this is documentary levels of storytelling. Amazing work to not only yourself, but to all of the Tetris players of the past, present, and perhaps… future.

I love how this story kind of sums up speedruns. People pushing the bar further and further as understanding and strategy develops. New generations bringing ideas that the veterans hadn't thought of, and then the veterans adopting them to aid in the journey. Tetris has to be one of the greatest games of all time.
